The Cambridge BioResource Health Research Unit
We are proud to introduce our custom built Cambridge BioResource mobile recruitment unit, 'The Health Research Unit'. This new research venture has been made possible by a generous grant from the Milly Apthorp Charitable Trust and will enable research studies to go out into the community to make research participation more accessible for local people.
Over the coming months we will be taking the Health Research Unit to various venues in the Cambridge area. We are also working with GP surgeries who are contacting their patients to offer them the opportunity to visit the Health Research Unit at sessions in their local community.
Visitors to the Health Research Unit can join the Cambridge BioResource and may also be offered health awareness measurements such as BMI, percentage body fat and blood pressure. For smokers, we can discuss additional issues such as smoking cessation and lung age.
You don't need to receive an invitation to visit the Health Research Unit. You can email the team on cbr@cambridgebioresource.org.uk or ring on 01223 769215 to make an appointment.
Please feel free to get in touch for more information about the Health Research Unit or to find out about our upcoming sessions.
We look forward to seeing you on board soon!
